Economic Development

The project Skillshare is a great way to update the information content in Wikipedia while expanding the image of Lüneburg as an attractive technology and media industry. This has led us to a writing competition entitled "Made in Lüneburg" initiate, "says Jürgen grandson, Managing Director of the Economic Development Company for the city and county of Lüneburg.

 

 

 In our daily work we use the Internet to quickly gather information. We value the quality of information in Wikipedia. They are based on part-time commitment of many authors.
Quality and community commitment are values that can combine well with the region of Lüneburg, says Enkelmann. Today, it is characterized by a strong middle class. Owner-managed businesses rely on team work and regional engagement. They are just so with quality products in international markets so successful. This aspect will be the future in the Wikipedia description of the Lüneburg region more prominently.

The three themes of the writing competition

b) Products / Inventions from Lüneburg
c) Economic Lüneburg (Industrial Structures / infrastructure projects)

Since his project Skillshare a combination of continuing education for Wikipedians from all over Germany and introductory course for new text and image authors from the region, we expect the contributions from a mix of external perspective and insider knowledge, "says Nadine Stark, Project Manager by Skillshare.
