Wikipedia beginners from Lueneburg, a workshop on getting started in the online encyclopedia was offered. On a completely different audience, the workshops focused on advanced programming of bots and quality management, the program content rounded off on Saturday. With Wikiversity, a learning and teaching portal and Open StreetMap, a project for free road maps and, in the afternoon featured two major projects of the free knowledge away from the encyclopedia, demonstrating the breadth of the movement.

Saturday was also the sign of the "engine room" of online projects. Various workshops were held in the afternoon to assistive technology. In a seminar on monobook skin, a popular user on Wikipedia, it was explained how efficiently this can personalize. vastness of, the tool server, the hardware to program database queries presented in Wikipedia. A first spontaneous Workshop was formed out of the use and definition of primary and secondary literature. The real work with sources and evidence, particularly in the Commons was discussed in a workshop. Finally, the support team of Wikipedia in the background-working committee to answer e-mails to the Wikipedia has been presented. In particular, the evenings and breaks of the conference have been used for more spontaneous meetings in ever new composition.

on Saturday were two instead of on average attended events: a seminar on conflict management, and a sociological lecture on the functioning of Wikipedia. Seminars on conflict management, due to the limited communication options in online communication, it is in online projects for free content often lead to conflicts, which in some cases may even continue for years. Complicate the situation in this online encyclopedia by the sheer diversity of topics and viewpoints. So it was hardly surprising that the seminar was overcrowded by a professional mediator, conflict mediation body bridge, despite doubling with 25 participants and in addition to professional support and lively participation of the conference participants enjoyed. This was the basis of concrete examples from Wikipedia, the communication levels of the hierarchical model of conflict based on Friedrich Glasl explained and applied. With reference to inter alia Friedemann Schulz von Thun's model of communication channels for constructive processing of conflicts were identified. At the same time but also stressed that conflict, the higher levels of escalation in the conflict model Glaslschen have achieved only by professional, external mediation can be settled. Some of the participants continued to spread this knowledge in the following time in Wikipedia. In addition, half of the face-to-face contact between the longtime adversaries, who had previously agreed online only to reduce prejudices and to avoid conflicts beyond the factual level.

Wikipedia from a game theory point of view
The lecture by sociologist Thomas King of the University of Surrey in the south west of England, which also is under the nickname fossa also a well known activist in the German Wikipedia was also very well attended. Dr. King tried the success of Wikipedia with a potpourri of sociological analysis of play and systems theory to show the debate, drawing on various theories of democracy, the weaknesses of the system, Wikipedia. In his view, the strength of the system, the quasi-evolutionary development of cooperative strategies among the participants in creating the Internet encyclopedia. In return, however, the system closes to outsiders and an increasing hierarchy forms among active Wikipedians out. This leads to problems especially so in the knowledge creation, because the staff of Wikipedia from certain social strata of the population are not the broad spectrum of citizens, or even the knowledge worker had indicated. As a result, the social system Wikipedia, the functioning of the communication system would paralyze Wikipedia. The sociologist was therefore a deliberate flattening of hierarchies and the abolition or overthrow a bureaucratically fixed position, as they are, could selectively influence different stages of informal hierarchy, and easily. The presentation can be full-length video of the Skillshare's web site (www.skillshare.eu) here.

The last day of the conference included eight events.

Skillshare patron and chief editor of ARD-aktuell Dr. Kai Gniffke brought together with a Wikipedia by Erin a media skills training for students and teachers Lüneburg. This event is www.skillshare.eu as video on our site. Once again, technology issues were on the agenda of Wikipedia: Bots and the already mentioned Toolserver stood by the respective second time in the center. A social bridge within the Wikipedia community came to a meeting between the mentor program, an institution for integrating new who joined Wikipedia authors, the so-called Recentchangeslinked learning, a group of active Wikipedians who are fighting the inclusion of obvious false information and advertising in the Wikipedia handles. A second ad hoc seminar was dedicated to another Wikipedia-institution, the so-called arbitration. A group of ten Wikipedians who care for particularly tricky problem cases and conflicts in Wikipedia. The Skill Share program was concluded by a lecture on ethics in dealing with biographies of living persons. Next to it, the project Wikisource, which devotes itself to the digitizing of public domain texts. Highlight of the day, however, was the panel discussion on the policy of free knowledge.

Panel discussion
Rounding out the event with a panel discussion was around the Free Knowledge, at the 3 MPs, Dr. Gniffke, PD Dr. Warnke and Ting Chen as representatives of the Wikimedia Foundation, attended the key figures involved in media policy. The debate was wide ranging. The Bundestag Subcommittee on New Media and the Commission of Inquiry for the Internet and digital communities were presented. An important issue was the filtering of content on the web. In the course of the debate about potential religious feelings infringing images on the Wikimedia Commons project was the balance between neutral educational mission on the one hand and adult protective or ideological filter systems of government institutions (Great Digital Wall of China, filter by state educational institutions in Europe and North America) on the other for debate. Furthermore, the activities of institutions and political parties were discussed in the course of election campaigns and political conflicts (eg, referendum on education reform in Hamburg) in Wikipedia in terms of the neutrality requirement. Finally, the importance of free content on the Internet, particularly pointed out free licenses of documents that were created by public authorities or other public body. The panel discussion is also www.skillshare.eu on our website as a video in the download area.

On the part of the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg became Mayor Ulrich Maedge sponsor the event Skillshare. On 4 June 2010 opened the city archives Lüneburg, led by Dr. Thomas Lux - Head of the City Archives and the Council Library - with the support of the cultural office of the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, Mr Juergen Landmann - as topics partner of Skillshare its doors .

An international team of volunteer staff of Wikipedia and its sister project Wikimedia Commons digitized over 300 maps, city views and sketches, to be provided to the general public under a free license to re-use available. The team of volunteers worked through digital photography, this was chosen by the chief archivist of a few exhibits of his extensive collection. As well as city views of the Principality of Lüneburg Lüneburg maps were digitized floor plans of older buildings Lüneburg and technical drawings. Maps from other cities and countries such as Breslau in Silesia and France as well as Florida and Louisiana, plans of the rivers Elbe and Ilmenau, and various old manuscripts were included in the inventory of Wikimedia Commons. It took the photographer to work to share their skills and experience.

conversation were critical of the weaknesses of Wikipedia and its sister projects constructively with good reason. In the sciences usual, the names of authors in the text or image here has been elected to the Wikipedia and its sister projects, the way of the so-called version history, with images only allows the "click" on image to insight into the authorship to take. Some items in Wikipedia already of a scale that of an encyclopedic article hardly the question. Skillshare was at this point to a platform for exchange of skills and experience that the involvement of external program partners the necessary and critical view of the proverbial nose granted.

Free Knowledge (English open content) includes text, photos and other media, which are placed under a so-called free license which allows free re-use of these contents copyright in a different context. Due to the free use and reuse of knowledge will open access to education to benefit all people equally. Authors and photographers of Wikipedia and its sister projects had to organize in 2009 the project idea of a conference of the volunteers of the projects around the open knowledge. On the planned conference should pass from the ranks of the so-called Wikipedians and other projects from various work areas of online projects their skills and knowledge to other volunteers and deepen so that existing knowledge within the projects, collect and carry on. Furthermore, there should be a personal and professional exchanges already in a specific field of active volunteers to the current technical issues, challenges and areas of interest to work together in online projects. to finance the planned size of such an event and the claim that participation in the conference for the honorary authors and photographers of the online projects without conference fees as donations, soon made the boundaries volunteer project management and private liability for such events per year.

the club Skillshare Association (English parts of skills) was therefore in August 2009 in preparation for the planned pilot conference founded an association that provides the volunteers of the various projects around the free knowledge as a platform for exchange and sharing of skills. About organizing committees participation in skill-share approach, using the club infrastructure and the experience is possible for anyone who wants to promote by means of an event idea the collection, compilation and dissemination of free knowledge.

goal of the non-profit association to promote education recognized Skillshare Association is to promote education by supporting the creation, collection and dissemination of so-called free knowledge, particularly through the planning and implementation of training and further education. After a successful pilot conference Skillshare 2010, additional projects are in planning. For details on the club, his manager and the club events, goals and tasks they find www.skillshare.eu on our website.

Basis of the conference was the so-called community building (dt identity of the community) to free from the many volunteers of the projects the knowledge. This was in addition to the Wikipedia (free encyclopedia), the most popular project with the aim of the collection and compilation of Free Knowledge, on projects like OpenStreetMap (free maps), Wikimedia Commons (Free media data collection for audio, video and image files) or Wikiquote (Free Quote collection worked). The concept of open space that will be developed with the only during the event by the participants of the exact schedule, proved to be particularly successful. The participants were a variety of spaces in parallel provided, in which before and during the event from the list of participating teachers found to their skills and experience from many years of volunteer work in the projects around the open knowledge with the other Participants to share. The wealth of the workshops offered showed incorporate a comprehensive picture of the volunteer work on the programming of so-called bots (algorithms that automatically make small routine changes to projects, and so support the human helper efficient), photo workshops, copyright rights training to more than conflict resolution in online projects through to sociological criticism Wikimodell enough.
